Learn

Our commitment to knowledge is inherently connected to inspiring action to change, modify, and adapt.

ACTION incorporates emergent design principles of evaluation and learning in order to navigate the dynamic environment of social change.

We utilize and promote frameworks for real-time learning, participatory evaluation, social action research, and equity-based education and evaluation. Our commitment to knowledge is inherently connected to inspiring action to change, modify, and adapt. Our role is to model innovative and responsive methodologies, build capacity for utility of relevant approaches, and advocate for philanthropic and public sectors to adopt and fund equity-based learning and evaluation frameworks.

Embedded in ACTION’s philosophy and approach to research and evaluation is the principle that we work in collaboration with community groups, nonprofits, foundations and government agencies, not simply for them.

ACTION staff are experienced in conducting needs assessments, feasibility studies, program and initiative evaluations, survey research, topical research studies and strategic planning utilizing a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques.
